We are pleased to offer an excellent education at
Lexington ISD and including your child(ren) in this offering.
Lexington ISD Policy states the following: A nonresident
student wishing to transfer into the District shall file an application for
transfer EACH YEAR with the Superintendent or designee.
Transfers shall be granted for one regular school year at a time.
In approving transfers, the Superintendent or designee
shall consider availability of space and instructional staff and the student’s
disciplinary history, attendance records, and academic performance.
Please note the following:
1.
Transfer
applications will not be accepted by district personnel until the following
forms of documentation from the previous and current school year are provided:

Student discipline record
·
Attendance history
·
Report cards for all grading periods available
·
TAKS/STAAR for grades 3-11 and TPRI for grades K-2 to
date
·
Final report cards / final TAKS / final TPRI
/final STAAR or
equivalent must be submitted as soon as available to Central Office for
current year.
2.
The
application and all required documentation must be submitted together on or
before June 6, 2013. Applications
will not be accepted by mail.
There is a *$250 application fee for the first two children and an additional
$50 fee for each additional child.
Fees are due at time of application.
No arrangements will be made for installments.
Fees are non-refundable.
3.
All
supporting documents and applications (Elementary, Middle School, and High
School) should be delivered to Sherri Iselt, between the hours of 8-4,
Monday through Thursday.
The applicant will be given a receipt for the application at the time
of submission.
4.
Notice
of transfer acceptance or denial will occur on or before June 25, 2013.
5.
Should
your child(ren) be accepted for transfer into Lexington ISD, you will be
required to sign a Transfer Agreement and submit an agreement.
6.
The District does not provide transportation
for transfer students.
