What is the Eagle Volunteer Program?


The Eagle Volunteer Program is a school and community partnership program, sponsored by Lexington ISD. Eagle Volunteers’ purpose is to provide volunteer opportunities that match the needs of our students with the talents and abilities of adult and youth volunteers.

 

Who are we?


People of all walks of life, with their multitude of skills, talents and interests, are encouraged to help in our schools. The Eagle Volunteer Program provides the school with carefully trained lay citizens and high school students who assist in the work of school personnel, mentor children, and provide a host of services to help the children of Lexington ISD.

 

What do we do?

 
Ensure that our children are prepared to achieve their best by helping to improve academic achievement
Assist teachers in the classroom
Read to children in K-5 grades, and tutor reading to children in grades  K-5  at the request of their teacher 

Math Practice with students
Quarterly Newsletter for Teachers, Parents and Volunteers
Annual Distinguished Services Awards, and recognition events for our volunteers

Mentor students in need

Assist in the Libraries

Maximize parent and volunteer potential to improve student achievement
